My journey into online marketing, SEO, and digital PR came during my 15-year career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the school system. My husband’s engineering business had shut down unexpectedly, and he had decided to try his hand at what was essentially his favorite hobby, creative writing. During this time, he discovered a love for screenwriting, and he dedicated himself to writing novels and screenplays for a few years.
The problem was, while he was winning a ton of awards for his work, he still wasn’t being discovered online. So, I decided to take some online courses to learn SEO and then apply it to his website and coaching business.
Over the course of 18 months, together we transformed his site from a passion project with about 20 visitors a month to an authoritative site with over 100,000 unique visitors per month!
The success we found together using a combination of on-page SEO (keyword research and technical website optimization) along with off-page SEO (getting links from related websites through guest posting and earned media) was life-changing for both of us!
