Welcome!

I’m Christina, Registered Speech-Language Pathologist and Speech Improvement Specialist.

Christina Headshot

I help professionals improve their speech clarity, accent clarity, executive presence, and overall communication skills, so they can feel more confident in meetings, presentations, interviews, and high-stakes workplace conversations.

My goal is not to help you erase your accent or sound like someone else.

My goal is to help you communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally while still sounding like yourself.

My Background as a Speech-Language Pathologist

I began my career as a communication professional in 2005, after graduating from the University of Alberta with my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

For the next twenty years, I worked with preschoolers, school-age children, and their families. During that time, I developed strong skills in speech assessment, goal-setting, communication support, and personalized coaching.

I learned how to break communication skills down into practical steps. I learned how to meet people where they are. And, most importantly, I learned how important communication is in every context of our lives.

Since 2022, I have also helped my husband build a successful coaching business in his field.

As I spent more time in business and coaching spaces, I became very interested in how communication affects professional success.

I noticed that many talented, intelligent, and highly skilled people struggle to communicate their ideas with the clarity and confidence they deserve.

That realization led me to a new focus in my work: helping adults improve their speech clarity, professional communication, and confidence.

What is Accent Modification?

Working With Internationally Trained Professionals

Many of the adults I work with speak English as an additional language.

They are already capable, educated, and skilled in their field. They may be healthcare professionals, business professionals, leaders, entrepreneurs, or other professionals who need to communicate clearly in English at work.

Their goals are to use clear communication, have stronger intelligibility, and increased confidence in workplace settings like meetings, interviews, and high-stakes conversations.

I want my clients to feel that their communication reflects the level of expertise they already have.

Improve Your Speech Clarity and Executive Communication Skills Today

Build clearer speech, stronger professional presence, and more confidence in high-stakes conversations today.

My Training in Accent Modification

To support this work, I completed Accent Modification Training through The Accent Channel, which offers a personalized system of speech assessment and goal-setting for internationally trained adult speakers of English.

This training helped me adapt my background as a Speech-Language Pathologist to better support high-achieving adults who want to refine already-competent communication skills so they can be understood more easily and feel more confident in professional settings.

I was also trained in the Global Voice Technique, a system that supports executive communication skills for both ESL and native English speakers.

This approach allows me to help clients work on more than pronunciation. We can also focus on vocal presence, communication style, pacing, clarity, confidence, and how your message is received.
